Sun City Roller Girls

Sun City Roller Derby Girls are bringing the popular sport, that was seen on television only in the 70-s, back to El Paso. Roller derbies organized by these girls are becoming more and more popular in town. This is definitely not the place for those who cannot stand too much feminine energy, beauty and charm. This is the place for entertainment and visual enjoyment.

The best part of this sporting event is the fun for all ages. Kids come to see their moms, men come to admire their girlfriends and elders came to talk and brag about their “fast and furious” daughters/granddaughters. All girls are dressed in elaborate matching uniforms, hair and makeup on to impress. Then it is off to old fashioned family fun!

With the first group of girls taking off on with the first whistle, all bunch up blocking the opposing team. Then the second whistle goes off and the fun begins. As the Jammers make their way to pass other teammates, everyone gets tough, skating fast and pushing hard. As they make their way round and round, the tension builds up. And of course a nice girl fight brakes out every now and then. But the best part of the chick fight is when the ref gets hit - now this is a sport that has no mercy!
